Tripeaks Solitaire is a well-known card game that blends elements of Solitaire with Golf. The main objective is to clear all the cards from the three peaks or pyramids visible on the game board.

The game employs a standard deck of 52 cards, which are initially shuffled and dealt face down in the formation of three overlapping pyramids. The peaks of the pyramids are face up, while the remaining cards are face down.

The aim is to eliminate the cards by choosing one card that is either one rank higher or lower than the foundation card. For instance, if the foundation card is a 5, you can select a 4 or a 6 from the pyramid to remove it. Aces can be played on Kings, and vice versa.

In order to choose a card, it must be uncovered and not obstructed by any other cards. Only the top card from each pile is available for play. Once a card is selected, it moves to the foundation, revealing the card beneath it. This process of clearing cards and uncovering new ones continues until no more moves are feasible or all cards have been cleared.

There are additional rules to consider. Should you reach a point where no further moves are possible, you have the option to reshuffle the remaining uncleared cards and form a new pyramid. However, reshuffling incurs a penalty in your overall score. A lower amount of reshuffles leads to a better final score.

Tripeaks Solitaire is a game that demands strategic planning and thoughtful decision-making. It necessitates thinking ahead and evaluating the potential outcomes of each move. Sometimes delaying playing a certain card in anticipation of more favorable options is advantageous.

The game concludes when either all cards are cleared from the pyramid or no more moves remain. At the conclusion of each game, your score is tallied based on cards cleared, reshuffles employed, and time taken to finish. The objective is to achieve the highest score feasible and push yourself to enhance your performance with each trial.
